2009 Christmas wish list!

I remember September 1. At such an early date, people were already greeting each other a Merry Christmas. Tweets, Plurks, and Facebook statuses read "It's the start of the 'ber' months! Merry Christmas!" Most if not all of my friends thought it was ridiculous: "The heck? Why's everyone so worked up? It's only September!"

I'd empathize, but actually, I find the excitement quite thrilling. I mean, is there any other country wherein Christmas is celebrated in as early as September? Where people are excitedly telling their friends to buy them gifts for the holidays? Where Christmas carols are, at the start of the ber months, the background music of McDonald's (go to McDonald's Katipunan XD)?

Which goes to my main topic: the wish list. I've already thought about it, but whenever I ask myself what I'd like to have, my mind goes to a blank. It's like - there isn't an item that I'm dying to have. Is it a sign of contentment, or of aging? T_T Gah.

I've rummaged through the deep recesses of my mind :)), and I found some items which I've been wanting for a long time already:

iPhone/iPod

Probability: Hmm... about 40%.
I have a taste in music no radio station could satiate; thus, I need an iPod with me wherever I go. (Wait, what? If that's your only demand, why not just an mp3? You're so maarte Kring ha!) PLUS the fact that MP3's couldn't keep up with the huge amount of music I have. See, I'm a gamer, plus I'm kinda into Japanese stuff (geeky, geeky). Whenever I play a game, or watch a show (whether it be Japanese or not), I download a copy of its OST, so that the memory of the game/show stays with me. So, aside from the mainstream, rock, alternative, RnB, etc that I have, a huge chunk of my music is geeky music.

Wacom Intuos Tablet

Probability: 0.1%
Because I'm active in DeviantArt, I have constantly been inspired by graphic artists who create their works digitally. Digital, as in via computer. I mean, HOW THE F DO YOU MAKE SOMETHING LIKE THIS AND THIS IN A COMPUTER?? Do you.. draw it on MS Paint? o_O *shoots self* Then I found out that they do it using the Wacom Intuos tablet. What happens is, you connect it to the PC, draw on the tablet's screen, and voila! Your drawing, while you're working on it, is immediately put in the computer. You don't have to scan your art works anymore, plus it'd be a whole lot easier to color them using Photoshop or SAI.

Teeth Whitening

Probability: 30%
I have a condition called fluorosis - that is, I was overexposed to fluorine when I was a kid (I USED TOO MUCH TOOTHPASTE ;_;), so now I have mottled teeth. Some parts of my teeth are white; some, yellow; the uneven color of is very obvious. So PLEASE ;_; I've been asking this for two years now. Bleach my teeth, mum, dad!!!

Vans slip-on

Probability: 70%
These shoes are soooo nice! They're really comfy, plus they look great on any outfit. I want my first pair this Christmas! I hope I'd get these - every year, my parents buy us siblings new outfits to wear for the holidays XD So I'll tell 'em I want a pair of Vans slip-ons.

Good luck nalang sakin, di ba? Hehe. But compared to my Christmas wish list two years ago, the items here are more realistic (except for the tablet) XD

Resolutions and thank-you's

Happy New Year's Eve, everyone! Ü

I'm kind of embarrassed with the way I presented my resolutions; just now I've spotted some typos. Damn, am I the Krizelle Lacson who was Managing Editor for SSAM's school organ? Anyway, atleast I admit that I'm not perfect, right? :P

Really, I've got to read some books. My brain cells are dying.

And here's my thank you's. I know it isn't complete, so please forgive me. =)

And wait - is that a "respectfully" I see there?! It's supposed to be "respectively"! This is embarrassing, really. I should be reading books right now. I haven't read a novel for more than a month already.

By the way, do you know that those born under the Year of the Horse will be having a difficult time in the next Chinese calendar? And I'm a Horse girl (WTH "Horse girl"?)! Boo.

Holiday cheer

It's been a long time! Sorry, I've gotten lazy at blogging. ^^

---

Saturday, December 22: My parents and I went to Kolorete (the best-est surplus shop in the world) to buy me a pair of jeans for Christmas. But before that, we went to Greenhills to buy Aby, Miguel, and Ace (my cousins) their Christmas gifts; to dad's office for him to fix some of his things; and to Mamonluk to eat our lunch.

I had a blast with my parents. They're so fun to be with and I feel comfortable around them. Well, honestly, I prefer to be with them than to be with most of my friends (yup, I'm that family oriented).

Anyway, we went to Kolorete after eating at Mamonluk, and after thirty minutes or so of trying out the jeans, I finally found two pairs which I like. The problem was I only had to have one. I was deliberating long and hard that dad got impatent and decided to - teehee - buy the two pairs! Lucky!

All the jeans at Kolorete costs 1,500 pesos, regardless of the brand. And do you know which brands I bought?

Levi's and Victoria Beckham, dude. :D
(Victoria Beckham jeans? Originally 15,000 freaking pesos!)

Shiiiiny!

If you want some totally awesome jeans for only 1,500 pesos, go to Kolorete. They sell international brands such as Seven Jeans, True Religion, Citizens Of Humanity, Victoria Beckham, and so much more! The store also has a separate section for tees and bags (Gucci, LeSportSac...). And let me remind you that the reason why everything's cheap is because it's a surplus shop, but the quality is still A+. Ü
Kolorete is located at Timog Avenue, near the GMA building. It's in the row of stores found behind Ponciana's Restaurant, across Off The Grill. Hope you shop there.Ü

Rewind: Friday, December 21, I was hanging out with mom in her car when "Dead" was played on Magic 89.9. I enjoyed the song, of course - My Chemical Romance is my favorite band, and the vocalist is the father of my future baby my favorite, er, vocalist. So imagine my shock when, after the song, the DJ's said "This band's going to have a concert here in the Philippines. Yes, My Chemical Romance, live in the Fort, Taguig, on January 25..."

OMFG. How could the DJ say that ever so calmly when MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE IS THE BEST BAND IN THE WORLD!!! Everyone should be running amok the streets now! And me? I should be reserving a VIP ticket now!!!

So here's the plan: I'm going to call Viva Concerts/ Ticket World and reserve a VIP ticket (6,000 pesos) for myself. I'd most prefer to have a seat here:

Second, the cash. I already have 3000 pesos here, and I'll get the other half from "Santa" (since he didn't give me anything this Christmas... pfft), who already approved. Yippeeee!!! I've been such a good girl this year that Santa's being so unbelievably kind. Ü And besides, the concert's going to be just a week before my birthday, so he might as well think of this as a Christmas and birthday gift for me.

So, the only problem I've got now is:

1) That I can't find a VIP ticket
2) Transportation - my ninong Joji should be driving me to and from The Fort, but he can be very unreliable.

But wait, I shouldn't think of those things. Use The Secret, Kring, and you shall get whatever you want!

Gerard♥, My Chemical Romance, here I come!!!

We'll carry on!!!

(I should make the most outof using The Secret: aside from getting a VIP ticket, I'll also be able to meet and greet My Chemical Romance!)

P.S. If you're willing to donate cash, please do :-'( Consider that your Christmas and birthday gift for me, please?

December 25, fun day! Words cannot describe how fun Christmas was. Anyway, I'll be posting pictures as soon as mum puts them on the PC. ;D

Today, my friends and I went to visit Dian at her house. She's recovering from dengue, and if I hadn't read her blog post about her getting discharged, then we would have went to Makati Medical City and made a fool out of ourselves there. Haha ;D

Anyway, we had a great time at Dian's. Though the Lucky Me! Noodles were a bit too salty (it was Shan's fault), we ate lots and laughed lots. Sigh, I really missed my barkada. Ü

Let me introduce you to the members of Kada Siete!

Kada Siete! From left: Shan, Dian, Che, Joan, Hams, Me, and Jenny (April's not here!)

Wacky pose!
Joan! The funniest in the group, and probably the one with the sharpest wit.
Hamille! The most hard-working in the group, and also the most paranoid. ^___^
Jenny (the one on my left), the horsiest (kidding XD); and Dian (on my right), the smartest (next to me, of course! Haha!)
Che! The richest in the group! And the one who loves Koreanovelas the most ^_^
Shan! The LOUDEST in the group!

And April! She wasn't with us a while ago, but anyway, she's one of those who laugh without any reason (to put simply, abnoy ^__^)

After going to Dian's house, our clique went to Robinsons Metroeast to, originally, watch a movie, but we decided to do so some other time. We just talked about the plans for our next trip. But I left a little early, since I have to have a good impression on dad (concert tickets... haha ;D).

It was sweet of Joan and Jenny to accompany me to the exit of Robinsons (actually, I forced them to accompany me). The funny thing was the three of us had jackets, so we wore them ala-F4.

Hah! Nice jackets, though we didn't capture Jenny's.

A better shot, but I got a fugly face >.<

Feeling the Christmas spirit

At long last, Christmas vacation! *throws confetti*

---

Last Sunday, my kabarkada, Jenny, went to our house to wait for her parents; they were going to sing Christmas carols to us for their church. And because Sunday is our family day (the day when our family and relatives gather), Jenny was kinda shy 'coz there were many people at the house. But she eventually warmed up, thanks to Tita Baby who was so funny.

Jenny stayed for about two hours, I guess. Then the choir of her parents came. They sing so
good!

The choir sang four songs. It's too bad I didn't get to record the first song, it was the best of all four. You know, that fast one - Carol of the Bells. That's my fave Christmas carol.

In connection to this topic... I'm not going to be able to complete Simbang Gabi anymore. :'( Simbang Gabi in our subdivision is at 4 A.M. (they might as well call it Simbang Madaling Araw), and on the third day, our maid woke up late, so I wasn't able to start the mass, meaning my attendance isn't complete anymore. :( I'm really disappointed; I thought I'm going to be able to complete it and have a wish of mine come true. But, well, God has His reasons.

---

Yesterday, I went to Sta. Lucia to meet up with mom (for no special reason). After strolling around for a bit, she left me on my own 'coz she had work to do. I bought Christmas gifts for my family then. I bought gifts from Bench for mum, Bryan, and my monito/monita; from National Book Store for Kyle; and from a cigarette/lighter store for dad (well, I cant think of anything else that he'll appreciate -_-). My savings are gone! Good as gone! And I still have to buy something for Ashleiy, Cha, and for my Christmas Kringle with my clique. Where will I get the money? Care to donate? Ü

---

I suddenly remember something that happened in the past.

Our maid, Ate Vangie, was new then, and she was only 15 that time, I guess. Anyway, here's how it went...

Bryan (my younger brother): *Holding a tetrapacked juice* Ate Vangie, kunan mo 'kong straw! (Ate Vangie, get me a straw!)
Ate Vangie: Oki.
(Ate Vangie then looks for a straw, then when she comes back...)
Ate Vangie: *Hands Bryan the "straw"*
Bryan: BAT MO KO BINIGYAN NG SCREWDRIVER?!? (Why'd you give me a screwdriver?!) Sabi ko straw. STRAW! (I said straw!)
Ate Vangie: ...Ano ba yung straw... -_- (What's a straw, anyway?)

LOL. Good old times. :) But! Ate Vangie's not like that anymore, of course. Five years in this household taught every one of us lots of things. But I do remember her killing a fly with her bare hands (the way we kill mosquitoes), haha! Gosh. I just lalalove Ate Vangie. Ü

You know what?

Britney Spears' sister, Jamie Lynn... she's pregnant! o___O Freaky man. And she's only 16. Source: Yahoo.

Honestly, kids nowadays... (as if I'm not one. Haha.)

Christmas Wish List

I'm not going to school today. I'm sick - I think one of my block mates transmitted a virus when we slept at Hotel Pontefino. Anyway, I'll just study - and I mean really study - today so that I could make up for being absent.

Anyway, I'm surfing the net as usual, and since there are only 35 days to go til Christmas, I decided to make my Christmas Wish List. I'm just hoping that my parents get to read this (scratch that - they'll find out that I didn't go to school). Well, not only my parents, but every single adult related to me. (Cries: "YO! Ping Lacson and Norberto Gonzales! I hope you read this coz we're actually related~ ^__^)

What I want this holiday season...

1. Ze Mini Cooper + driving lessons- Like I said in one of my posts, dad's planning to buy me a Mini Cooper, and I'm quite positive that he'll keep his promise. All I need to do is get closer to him and give him high grades (which is more than possible if you're studying in a school like Miriam College). But what I'm not sure of is whether he'll give it this Christmas or on my birthday (February 1).

2. Samsung S730B - Pardon me, I'm not good at choosing digital cameras, so this will have to do. Anyway, it seems to me that I'm the only one in the whole wide world who doesn't own a digital camera (or a Multiply account), and not capturing moments is a sad thing for me. So Samsung S730B is what I need. It has a 7.2 mega-pixel CCD that can support ISO 1000, 3X optical zoom and a 2.5" LCD. Aside from that, the S730B has an Advanced Shake Reduction and can access various photo effects and editing directly. So, with this Samsung Digital camera, it's not that hard to imagine.

3. Nokia N82 - Not yet available in the Philippines, but this phone is great. You could access the internet in WiFi zones, listen to music through built-in speakers, take pictures with a 5 mega-pixel camera, Carl Zeiss Optics and Xenon flash photography, and a whole lot more (just check this for more info). The only problem I have regarding this phone is the keyboard - but not to worry, I'll get used to it (as if someone will give me this phone).

4. iPod nano 4 GB - First of all, let me tell you that I'm a simple girl and I really need only 4, and not 8, GB. I don't know why I want this, as I already have a lovely Sony MP3 Walkman... maybe I'm just materialistic. That's probably it.

5. Imation USB Flash Drive Mini (2 GB) - I really need a USB. Mom has one of these and she, obviously, finds it very useful. According to Imation's site: "Featuring an all-in-one swivel cap design that protects the drive and eliminates lost caps. Weighing less than one ounce, the drive fits easily in your pocket, briefcase or on the supplied key chain. It's a quick and easy way to transfer or share digital photos, music, presentations or other digital files. Available in a variety of capacities to suit your needs. The plug-and-play format allows you to drag and drop with ease on almost any computer with a USB 1.1 or 2.0 port. "

6. Fitness First membership - I want to be fit, not thin. And honestly, I'm not very comfortable with my body. I'm not used to having this bod. I want the one I had in my H.S. days; now I've grown large because of so much free time and because of a more insatiable appetite. Oh help.

7. Piano + piano lessons - haven't I told you how desperately I want to learn how to play the piano? And how I'm dying to play the pieces of Mozart, Beethoven, Bacht, Maxim, etc.? Oh man, I wish my parents would give this to me.

Yeah. That's about it.

But wait.

Give me William Beckett (of The Academy Is...) and/or Gerard Way (of My Chemical Romance) and I will be more than happy to not ask for anything else as long as I live.

Hooohoho, I love you CiCi and Gee (William and Gerard's nicknames, respectively. It's obvious that I've been doing a lot of research)! I love you, I love you, I love you. And both of you are all I want under my Christmas tree.

(BTW, want to know how talented William is? Then check the music video on my blog. That's him singing!)

I miss Blogger

I miss writing. And I obviously am not as good a writer now as I was before because of my laziness. I have a harder time detailing my ideas,...
