For the name of grades

Finals are coming next week, so I might as well study now.

Dad wants to remove our internet access as my brothers got very low marks in their report cards. Imagine, my super-smart brother, Kyle, got a 77 in Science, and the subject even is his forte! And Bryan, well... he got two failing marks: one in English (72) and one in Math (74).

I could not believe this. Well, Bryan really does have a problem regarding his academics, but I swear, he doesn't even touch the computer. Kyle, on the other hand, couldn't take his hands off of the computer. He's seriously addicted, and it isn't funny. He spends much of his time playing internet games, going to Neopets and the likes, and whenever mom would ask him what he's doing, he'd open a new window and say that he's doing his "research" Seeing that he got very low marks, mom now knows that he was just making excuses.

Couldn't my brothers just stop playing every once in a while and focus on their studies? I know they're really smart, but they're... okay, we're just too damn lazy to start with anything. If there's one enemy we have, it's sloth. But I have to study, now, as mom told me just this week, "Kring, sana makita na namin grades mo para matuwa naman kami ni daddy (Kring, we hope to see your grades soon so that your dad and I have something to be happy about)" Sad.

---

Last Thursday, my H-101 group mates and I went to Sandra's house to interview her mom. Her mom's dad is involved in the Martial Law, and that seems to be the thing we needed for our History report.

We had our lessons first, and I passed the portfolio I made for MCCISR (Miriam College Culture, Identity, and Social Responsibility), which took me about five hours to make the night before(procrastination is so fun), and we were dismissed at 3:00, since History had a free cut.

Before going to Sandra's house, Carla, Ange, Molly, and I went to Carla's house first. I don't know why we did, but I was so enthrilled to see Baby Belle. Belle is Carla's daughter, and she is honestly the cutest thing I have ever seen.

Carla and Belle... aww. They look much like each other, don't they?Ü

Belle is just the sweetest thing

Both Ange and Belle are cute and cuddly xD

Belle wants Mama to read a book

And she's playing the PSP! Goodness, it's pink!

And I just find Belle smart, she's only two, I think, but she speaks good English. Aside from that, she expresses her thoughts well.

Belle: *accidentally puts water on her pajamas*
Carla's mom: Oh my, Belle,
we're going to change your clothes.
Belle: Yucky.
Carla: Who's yucky?
Belle: Baby Belle.

Sweet.Ü Belle said a lot more smart stuff, but I forgot what they are. Too bad. Dear, when I'm going to have a baby, I want one as adorable and smart as Belle. :D

After a few minutes, we left the house and went to McDonalds, as Sandra said that that would be our meeting palce. When we arrived, we went to Sandra's house, which is in Pasig. We had quite a long trip.

Sandra's house is so beautiful! It has a warm atmosphere and an earthy vibe. There are lots of antiques and the place is very clean. It was there that we met Tita, Sandra's mom: she's a very friendly, very sweet woman. She hugs and kisses Sandra all the time we were there! It was real funny, but I was ashamed that I laughed. I mean, come on, Kring, it's embarrassing to laugh just because a mother is showing her affection for her daughter. And Sandra was just flushed with discomfiture.

Before starting the interview, we were given a special treat: pizza!

My pizza! It's really big, I was full by the time I finished my first. I took a second helping anyway. Hah, glutton.

S&R pizza. It's huge. I know that this big of a pizza is common in other countries, but it isn't in the Philippines.

After eating, my group mates and I talked about random things like Carla and Pancho (the lovely parents of Belle), cockroaches, our block mates, and other things. Then we went to the living room to start with the interview.

My group mates (from the left): Elisha, Abigail, Ange, Carla, and Molly. Where's Sandra?

The interview started, and Tita talked about all she knew on the Martial Law. I listened intently and learned new things, and how Marcos had earned an estimated $100 Billion during his reign. Corrupt man, I tell you. Then she gave us some information regarding what she knew, like the secrets of the Martial Law and what the general mass doesn't know.

After the interview and some goofing around ("We would like to thank our sponsors, S&R pizza, Coke, Heinz, Parmesan Cheese, etc!"), mom called me and told me that we'd meet at SM Hypermart so that I wouldn't have to commute home, since it was already 7:00 in the evening, and it's dangerous to commute at this time when you're alone.

Carla dropped me off at the walkway, so I went to Hypermart and waited for mom. When she arrived, we went home and talked about lots of things at the car.

Mom said that she was being offered a job of being a store manager at Australia, and she's thinking about working there. That being said, there might be a possibility that we're going to migrate. And I don't want to.

Philippines is my home. No matter how dirty or dangerous it is here, I've learned the ways and laws by which we abide. I love the food, the culture, the weather, the jokes, everything. If we move to Australia, I'm going to have a hard time adjusting, and it'll be lonely, as my relatives are staying here, so we'd have no one to visit to, to make us laugh, and to give us a hell of a good time on Sundays. :(

---

By the way, last Wednesday, our block was dismissed early - 10:30 AM - since we didn't have Filipino. I thought I was going to come home early, but I was wrong.

Jil withdrew money since she and Pau (her lovee) would be seeing each other, and since she had money... (*evil smirk*)

(*We're walking, then we come near KFC)
Me: Jil.
Jil: ...
Me: Jil, you still owe me something, you know that.
Jil: ...
(*We're outside KFC)
Me: Jil... I'm hungry... remember when you told me that you were going to
pay me back when I accompanied you to Robinsons?
Jil: ...
Jil: Okay, Rai, Kring, let's eat at KFC. What do you guys want? My treat.
Rai: (*Disbelief) Kring, I couldn't believe you!

So Jil treated us to lunch, and I just couldn't help but be embarrassed with what I did (thank uoi, Raizza, for making me feel that way). All the time we were in KFC, I was extra nice to Jil.

I love you, Jil. :D

Yummy. I was starving by the time I was eating this.

The three of us spent, I think, two to three hours talking about anything and everything, and I had a great time sharing my stories and listening to theirs. I couldn't believe that I could easily open to them. Aw, Jil and Rai are just great.Ü

After that, Pau arrived. Finally! Jil was hungry 'coz she waited for Pau so that they could eat together.

Jil and Pau!Ü They're going to celebrate their fourth anniversary next month.Ü

Rai and I were laughing our heads off as Jil and Pau were so funny when they were together. Lol, I hope we could bond like this again.Ü

So, that concludes my post. It's real long, and like I said, I still have to study. I wish I woud. -_- Au revoir!

The 4.0 grade

Sleepy. Tired. Stressed. Man, I'm not writing good stuff anymore. I can't let pictures do all the talking; I need to write and write.
---
What a day it was yesterday! I came home soaking wet and super tired. But going to that part-time job orientation was worth it.Ü

So, yesterday, I woke up at 7:00 in the morning, which is quite early since our group meeting for CWTS is still on 10 AM. If you're asking why I was not my usual self and woke up in advance, well, it's because I was going to pick out a smart casual wear for an orientation on, yes, that part-time job. ö

After a few minutes, I was able to pick out something decent to wear.

Hoorah! All ready!

Um... yeah. Peace. -_-V

But before going to Ortigas for the orientation, I needed to go to school first since we have a meeting. At about 11:30, I was all ready to go.

2:30 PM: I was already in Ortigas! Yay!

Ortigas is actually one of my favorite places. It's clean, plus you get that modern, New York-ish feel. Also, it's safe to walk around all by yourself. People actually dub Ortigas, "the place of smart people" Ü

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Ortigas, a modern, clean, nice place :D

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Ortigas at nighttime Sweet. :D

I went to Robinsons Galleria to get a cab, then went straight to Octagon Bldg, the place where the orientation will be held.

I was at the bldg at about 2:45, I think, and the briefing started at 4:00, so, yeah... I killed a lot of time just sitting around, waiting, and doing nothing. Sucks. -_-

15th floor, Octagon building

Well, the speakers talked about the company (Pharmatex, or Pharmanex...? Whatever), and how we will get benefits as workers, of how, by 2010, the demand for anti-aging products and the likes will increase by 500% and all. I was very convinced; the speakers were persuasive. By the end of the briefing I wanted to do the part-time job badly (Imagine, I earn 28K a month! Woah.), but before I could do so, I needed to buy this business kit worth P12,600.

P12,600! Wheretheef would I get that kind of money? Surely, dad wouldn't lend me; mom, well, I don't know, I don't think she has that kind of money (haha, mean :D), and my bank account only has a measly P4K -_- Come on.

I went outside the bldg to find an FX to go home, but it was raining hard. I had an umbrella, but still, I got real wet. My feet were real wet! Ugh!

So, I got home, tired, and BTW, mom arrived from her five-day vacation in Cagayan de Oro, her province. I'm sooo happy she's back. I missed her badly when she was away :]

Today:

I'm always getting a grade of four. :(

I need to get a perfect five. I don't want a four. I want a five.

And I don't want high grades. I want perfect grades.

...

I'm being all grade-conscious again. Blame it on my desire to transfer to UP. SIIIGH.

Anyway...

Math time sucked. Not 'coz I hate our prof, but because I lost my drive when I saw my score at our test. I know 47 over 50 isn't bad, but I really can't afford to just get a high grade. Like I said, I want perfect grades. And hey, I'm not arrogant - this blog's actually the only place where I whine like a dog over the smallest things which don't need to be whined at. Score for test: 4.5

P.E., our leaders will give our prof individual grades for participation and attendance when we were still practicing our cheerdance (video will be within the week). My score: 4

CWTS was good, we did nothing. Haha. But Rai spent an hour doing our PPT presentation. What should be done for a week, she did in an hour. Very good. Ü

History. We got our test results for our preliminary exams, and I kind of, in a way, accept that I only got 35 over 40. For one thing, I crammed - I jammed everything into my head only on that day when we were going to take the preliminaries, hell, I'm too lazy to study at home (and yet I want to get high grades. Pfft.). But still... argh! I need to get a higher grade dammit. Score for test: 4

Why do I always get a four? Is this about my ex? (Muaha. How did that come up?) Sigh. I need to atleast get a 4.5 at my card so that I could transfer to UP and get into the dean's list.

Decided to take pics while on the walkway, dismissal time. :] The walkway's a real nice place.

The tall people, Abi and Raizza

Jil talking with her lovee. Uiii. xD
I am such a nerd. I look like a nerd. I need to throw my glasses away.

I still need to make an outline for English ("If my life were a book"). Wooh. Under pressure! Gerard, my love, save me!

How the week went part II

CONTINUATION. (See previous post.)

SATURDAY:
The moment we've all been waiting for.

Today's the cheerdance competition and everyone in the block's nervous. We practiced steps, made some new ones, and kept waiting for some of our block mates who showed up at the very last minute.

The meeting was supposed to start at 9 AM at the ILAW Center, but it begun an hour later.

Where am I?

Pia's fixing my hair for the cheerdance.

Yay Pia! I love you! (What's with my facial expression? Ugh, I think I was a bit dizzy 'coz of what Pia was doing to my hair. It hurt a bit.)

Finished!

Jil and I

Rai, Jil, and me. Apparently, Rai doesn't like this pic.

...And I don't like this pic. -___-

Alfonso/Cha/Charissa/Manilyn and I. Whew! What should I call you, really?!

Aaaw. Isn't she adorable? xD

At quarter to one, we went to the venue of the competition, the HS Covered Court. (To be continued...)

How the week went part I

Let the pictures do the talking.Ü

I've been so tired and busy these past few days because of the cheerdance practices, so I haven't had the time to post for a while. Sorry. :D

So, these past few days...

TUESDAY:

I got my cheerdance shirt! Hoorah! And it's got the number 02 at the back of it. :]]

My jogging pants for cheerdancing. They put glitter, but our prof asked us to remove the stuff off. (Fine with me, though, I HATE GLITTER.)

WEDNESDAY:

Jil, Raizza, Abi, and I went to KFC and ate while memorizing our speeches for Filipino.

We're messy, aren't we?

I ♥ Bananaque. :)

Filipino time came, and I was the second to say my speech in front of everyone! And I thought I was going to go through my speech on Friday. But anyway, I think I did good.Ü

Classes ended at 1:30; I wanted to go home but we had cheerdance practices at 4:30! Dammit. So what was I supposed to do for three hours?!

Anyway, 4:30 came and we proceeded to one of the classrooms in Caritas...

Jil and Pia camwhoring

Rai and I. Ugh, just look at that stomach :(

Alfonso/Cha/Charissa/Manilyn and I. (I really don't know what to call her. I prefer Manilyn but she hates that name.)

WHATEVER. :P

"Let's do the chicken dance!" (I hate you, Jil, for taking this picture.)

We're at the bottom of the pyramid. (Wait, am I that heavy?!)

Trying to split. I've always wanted to. (Again, I hate you, Jil, for taking such an ugly angle of me. I look PUGE.)

THE PYRAMID!!! And I'm at the bottom! Gosh they're heavy.

Alfonso/Cha/Charissa/Manilyn in lonely and weird mode.

Look at what Rai and I got from kneeling down a bit too long.

Dad is so kind, he fetched me 'coz he didn't want me to commute as it was already night. Sweeeet :D

THURSDAY:

Justine: "STOP! Don't take pictures of me!" Haha, sorry, Justine. Ü

I'm not sure whether Jil is just contemplating on her life or preparing to jump off the window (seeing that she's still alive, it's the former xD)

FRIDAY:

The start of the day was really mortifying. Why? Well - I SLIPPED! It was drizzling; I was at the gasoline station, and I always pass through a slope before I could cross the road. I was walking casually, not having a care in the world, when at that slope I suddenly slipped and sat down! Sat down! And the worst part is, somebody saw me! Argh! Good thing only a fellow Miriamite saw the whole thing happen, and she doesn't look like the type who would tell her friends what had happened. Whew!

But I got a nasty scab at my knee. :(

Anyway... Jil is bothered and hot!

She wants to poo!

She couldn't contain the feeling anymore.

Here's a video of Jil desperately wanting to do her thing at home xD

Poor Jil xD

And she took a video of me, too -___-V I was complaining about the scab.

TO BE CONTINUED.

LOL cute guys

I was supposed to post this two days ago, but anyway...

---

I had a seriously, seriously happy day. :]]

Sanggunian General Assembly:

Well, I expected the general assembly to be boring, maybe talk about some new rules, policies, blahblahblah... we had that, but there's a bit of a bonus.

Our host is a hottie. :D

Hot body... well, not really. -___-V

Seeee? xD

Aside from the hotness, the good diction, and the charm he's got, he's also a graduate of UP! Beauty with brains! Ohmy. Ohmyohmyohmy. LOL.

And while on the boring stuff of the general assembly, we decided to take pictures! (Ignoring the fact that we were at the front row and the student council could directly see us. Well, as if they'll confiscate our phones) And since there was going to be a talent contest after the boring part of the assembly, my block mates and I decided to volunteer Jil! (Volunteer against her will. HAHA.)

Abi: "Heavens, Kring, don't take my picture"

I look... uh... spastic? (Hoorah! New word! Courtesy of Grace and Joyce Lee xD)

Another spastic face. (Grace and Joyce will be proud to know that I am now constantly using that word. LOL.)

"Look at Jil. She's nervous 'coz we forced her to join the Talent Contest!"

Goodness. The talent contest was actually going to be judged by a special guest - a celebrity - but we didn't know who the mystery judge was.

And since the judge was taking too long, maybe caught up in traffic/signing autographs, our host decided to... uh, showcase his talent -___-

Haha. Failing to liven up the crowd. Embarrassing.

After a few minutes, the judge came, guess who it was?

Chuck Allie!

At first, I was all "WTF? Who the ef is this guy?! Never heard of him!" but from the information I've gathered, he's one of the survivors of the reality TV program Starstruck, on its third season.

What can I say about the talent test? Well... you tell me.

Look at them dance.

[The title of the video is "Girls all over Chuck Allie", and if you want to see more, just check the other videos at Youtube with that same title. Ü]

Argh. I'm getting all lazy again. I'll place a part II as soon as I get the pictures Ashleiy had taken when we bonded at McDonalds. Oh dearest Ashleiy, I miss you!

And cheerdance practice today wan't a total waste. It was actually good. Pictures will be posted tomorrow, promise. :D

I miss Blogger

I miss writing. And I obviously am not as good a writer now as I was before because of my laziness. I have a harder time detailing my ideas,...
